About Me
Helping people tell their stories is my passion, and I’ve been doing it for many years. I began as a writer and editor for some of publishing’s big dogs (Cosmo’s Helen Gurley Brown was my boss in the 1980s). Now I work as a personal historian, writing instructor, and custom publisher. My first client was a safari guide whom I met in the Serengeti; he later became my husband. More recently, I’ve been helping members of the Randolph Senior Center, most of them in their eighties. Two years after we began, they have published six books and are still writing. To find out more about me, you can read my book, Our House in Arusha, a family memoir set in Tanzania.

The Hale Street Gang

The Hale Street Gang
In volume 2, we pay tribute to the many places in our past. Here you will find Downtown Randolph as it used to be (remember Merusi's Store? The Spot?) and Brookfield back when Jessie Fiske owned Green Trails—as well as Shanghai in the thirties, San Francisco in the forties, and New York City at the turn of the century (this one). The authors have all crossed paths at the Greater Randolph Senior Center, where we gather once a week to salute the flag, partake of Rose's meatloaf, and share our life stories. In A Sense of Place, we travel back through time to tell you where we've been.
